Top 5 Things Your Dog Needs From You

The needs of individual breeds vary widely; of course, large dogs will have vastly different daily needs than small dogs.  This blog post will focus on the universal needs of every dog rather than those specific to any one breed.
5. His own toys and space. Your dog needs to know what is his and where his safe place to retreat is located. Providing toys and telling him they are his early on in life will provide you many years with fewer chewed shoes. Having an easy to clean dog bed, such as a Dog Cheap Sleeps.com dog bed will not only provide your best friend with a comfortable resting place, it is easy to clean and can be traveled with.
4. The right diet, health and dental care. As always consult your vet for the proper diet and health care for your particular dog. It’s also important to take care of your dog’s dental needs.
3. Exercise. Check with a guide like the one at pets.webmd.com for recommendations of how much and what type of exercise your dog will need. This goes a long way to keeping your best friend happy!
2. Rewards and praise. Dogs are people pleasers, they seek the tone of your voice and when you’re heaping on the praise they are at their very best. Don’t skimp on daily praises for good behavior!
1. Lots of love and attention. Your dog needs your attention; he will get it one way or another. Show your dog you love him by paying attention to his needs. A little love goes a long way with a dog; the returns are a lifetime of happiness for your pet who will love you back unconditionally.

3 Ways To Keep Your Dog and Your Home Smelling Great!

1.       Your dog’s oral health needs tending to frequently. Providing the right diet and some toys that aid in cleaning the canine teeth goes a long way. After only 4 years, a dog can begin to show signs of periodontal disease without the right dental care. The first sign of this is often really bad DOG BREATH!

2.       Your dog’s grooming schedule should be a priority for a sweet smelling dog – refer to guidelines specific for the breed of dog you have to provide the frequency and type of grooming necessary. Overall, removing loose hair and dander as well as shampooing and deodorizing your best friend regularly will go a long way to keeping not only your dog but also your home smelling great!

3.       Your dog’s bedding will influence the smell of both your dog and your house. A dog bed that captures and traps in hair, dander and odor is one more thing you will have to clean and disinfect on a regular basis. Some of the cloth dog beds cannot be cleaned or washed well enough to remove the hair and dander. The makers of Dog Cheap Sleeps’ dog beds have come up with a solution to the old stinky dog bed dilemma – a waterproof, marine grade vinyl, dog bed with 4 inches of foam padding that is secured with a unique Velcro enclosure. Your Dog Cheap Sleeps dog bed can simply be washed off with a damp sponge or for larger messes – taken outside and hosed off.
