The littlest member of the our family

Reggie is the newest and smallest member of the Dogcheapsleeps.com family. One of the guys found him in a parking lot, foraging for food in a garbage can. He has been mauled, probably by a coyote, maybe more than once. Only one eye works, his tail has been chopped off and he has a wound that is extremely slow to heal on his shoulder. And that’s after months of care. And feeding. When you pet Reggie, you can feel every bone in his body. And he eats: we feed him cooked chicken and sometimes he devours a thigh in the morning and a drumstick in the afternoon. His fur is much less patchy than it was, but we don’t know how long it will take him to put on weight, maybe never. The lizards of Arizona contain a enzyme that keeps the cats that eat them from gaining weight. (Not recommended as a diet solution for people !)


Despite all this, he is a humble and loving little guy. And no, that’s not a Dogcheapsleeps.com bed. When you have ten animals, everything turns into a pet bed.
