Bringing Home a New Puppy!

Bringing home a new puppy can be quite the experience for both the dog and your family. To make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible, here are 3 easy tips that will help you introduce your new addition to your family.

Make sure that, if you have other pets (another dog or a cat), to introduce them slowly. They will have some natural curiosity toward each other but you have to make sure that the greeting process between them is slow.

Make sure that the new addition has a safe place it can be. For the first few weeks of having the new addition, if you have another pet, have the dog stay in a room where another family member lives. Obviously, make sure the pet has everything it needs: water and food.

And most of all make sure there is a dog bed somewhere in the house, preferably in an area with low foot traffic. This is a space where your puppy can rest and feel safe. Your puppy's bed is one of the most important first purchases you'll make!
