The Airedale Terrier is the largest and hardiest of all terriers. Thought to have originated in England, these dogs were known to be able to handle any task from wartime guard duty, messenger, hunting and gaming to rodent control. The Airedale is tan and black and has a wiry coat with a soft undercoat. They will need obedience training and are not afraid to stand their ground when challenged. They are generally sweet and playful dogs. Moderate daily exercise and grooming are necessary with this dog.
