Crate Training Your Dog

My friend’s dog was crate trained, this made traveling by car or by plane with her pet incredibly easy as the dog feels safe and secure anywhere her crate happens to be. While reading up on crate training, I came across a great step by step at Humane Society.org .
Below are two of the Humane Society’s most important tips for success:
  1. The crate should always be associated with something pleasant.
  2. Training should take place in a series of small steps. Don’t go too fast.
Crate training can take days or weeks, depending on your dog’s age, temperament and past experiences. Check out the complete line of crate pads for any size dog. Our dog crate pads offer all of the comforts of a couch or the owner’s bed right there in the crate! And since they are waterproof, our dog crate pads might be the last pads you ever buy. They are hose tested and leak proof. With our unique Velcro closure and vinyl cover, moisture will not get into the 4" foam padding. Just wipe clean with a wet cloth.
Inexpensive, free shipping, and best of all, Made in America!

  1. Some dog boarding amenities are set up to train dogs. When you send your dog to dog boarding, your dog will be cared and trained by a professional staff. This consists of basic commands and household manners.
